Over the weekend, a source within the Hong Kong government revealed to the
South China Morning Post that discussions with Singapore had resumed over the postponed quarantine-free âtravel bubbleâ between the two Asian financial hubs. The much-anticipated arrangement had been set for November 22 last year, but was abruptly suspended less than 24 hours before it was due to take effect as Hong Kong battled a fourth wave of coronavirus infection.
Quarantine-free travel for New Zealanders entering Australia resumes. It follows the travel bubble being suspended in late January amid fears of a highly contagious strain of coronavirus emerging across the Tasman.

Independents reject Kosciuszko powerlines

The NSW Parliament s four key Independents have urged the state government to reject Transgrid s plans to build overhead transmission lines through Kosciuszko National Park.
Independent MPs Greg Piper, Alex Greenwich and Joe McGirr have been joined by NSW Upper House MLC Justin Field in opposing the move.
Transgrid s plans show transmission lines on large steel lattice towers up to 75 metres high through the world-renowned Kosciuszko Park.
