Curious Cape Cod: How to win summer
WELLFLEET I was applying sequins to the world s largest whoopee cushion, which I had just inflated in my driveway, when I heard laughter from the garage roof. Randall, my butler and astrologer, was up there hooting and pointing at the giant rubber bladder. Suddenly, he ran down the roof and launched himself out over the mega-pillow. No, Randall! I yelled. The sequins aren t dry yet! But it was too late.
A gassy earthquake sound, which can only be written as BLATTPRRFFT! echoed across the Outer Cape. Sequins filled the air like confetti, glittering as they fell to earth, gathering around the maniacally giggling Randall and spelling out the following message: How do I win summer on Cape Cod?

Pump House Brewery announced Wednesday that it will begin exporting its products into the Netherlands.
While the brewery has previously exported smaller orders to other European countries such as France and the UK, this new partnership with Van Tol Retail is expected to help them expand into other European countries beyond the Netherlands by leveraging Van Tol’s network.
They will be one of few Canadian craft breweries to export into the Netherlands.
“We recently established a key partnership with Van Tol Retail, a major Dutch retail distributor, to bring our great products to their region. It’s not only exciting news for us at Pump House and our growth but could have repercussions for the entire craft beer industry here in New Brunswick,” said Pump House President and co-owner Brad Devarennes in a release.

âI am a poster child,â says David Ogunmuyiwa, âfor what you get if you invest in peopleâs education, healthcare and homes.â The son of immigrants, he grew up on the Aylesbury estate in south London, the often-vilified place that Tony Blair visited on the morning after his first election as prime minister, as the exemplar of the kind of blighted Britain that he was going to fix. But Ogunmuyiwa, inspired by seeing Richard Rogersâs Lloydâs building across the river from his school, knew that he wanted to be an architect. Which, as the founder of the practice Architecture Doing Place, he now is.
New community walkway planned for Limerick village

LIMERICK City and County Council has pledged to work with locals to deliver a new community walkway in Patrickswell.
At this month’s metropolitan district meeting, Fine Gael’s Daniel McSweeney saw a motion passed calling on the local authority to carry out a site identification study for the facility in his village.
“Over the coming years, Patrickswell has so much potential to grow with the construction of new homes and it is important we see similar to what happened in Mungret where the provision of Mungret Park was put in place before the houses were constructed, and I think it is important that this occurs in Patrickswell,” said Cllr McSweeney.
