The Clinton County Health District received its first shipment of the new Johnson & Johnson vaccine 300 doses on Tuesday morning.
Maxine Kuhns, who is 104 years young (to be 105 in a few weeks), on Tuesday became the oldest person to receive a COVID-19 vaccination from the Clinton County Health District. She was there with her daughter, Sharon Patterson. The vaccine was administered by Pam Daniel. Health Commissioner Pamela Walker-Bauer reported Tuesday morning that the CCHD is vaccinating its largest group yet at least 360 people age 65 and up at the Clinton County Fairgrounds Expo Center.
No CCHD phone bank scheduling this week; locally, cases per 100,000 high, but active cases trending down

WILMINGTON There will be no phone bank this Friday scheduling COVID-19 vaccination appointments for the week of Feb. 22 with the Clinton County Health District.
The CCHD announced that COVID-19 vaccination slots are already full with previously scheduled vaccinations for:
• Board of Developmental Disabilities 2nd-dose vaccinations rescheduled due to this week’s inclement weather
• Senior age 70 and older 2nd-dose vaccinations for those who had their first doses on Feb. 4-5 by the CCHD
• K-12 school staff 1st-dose vaccinations in Clinton County schools
Individuals interested in receiving COVID-19 vaccinations may visit Ohio’s Vaccine Provider webpage to find other vaccine providers the page is updated as new providers become available at https://vaccine.coronavirus.ohio.gov .
Clinton County reaches COVID-19 vaccination milestone: More residents vaccinated with first dose than reported cases

WILMINGTON – The number of Clinton County residents vaccinated with their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine now exceeds the total number of known reported cases of the virus, according to the Clinton County Health District.
On Monday, Feb. 8, the number of vaccinated Clinton Countians reached 3,200 residents while the total number of known cases is currently 3,190 since last March.
The total percentage of the population now vaccinated with one dose is 7.62%. The number of individuals that have completed their second dose is 763 (1.82%). Both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are a two-dose series with a 94% and a 95% efficacy, respectively.
