A Clare solicitor says she’s skeptical about whether new Judicial Council guidelines will lead to any reduction in insurance premiums.
Personal injury awards are set to be cut, with payouts for vases of whiplash to be reduced by more than half under the proposals.
Business groups say the new guidelines don’t go far enough, while Insurance Ireland claim it will ‘take time’ for premiums to reduce once the revised award system begins.
