Panama City Florida police search for armed robbery suspect

The News Herald/USA TODAY NETWORK The News Herald PANAMA CITY Panama City police are searching for a man who robbed a service station at gunpoint Friday evening. According to a Panama City Police Department press release, the suspect, a Black male possibly in his 50s, between 11:40 p.m. and 11:45 p.m., entered the Express Lane at the intersection of W. 11th Street and brandished a firearm. The suspect demanded the clerk open the cash register while he held his gun to her side. The clerk complied and the suspect collected an unknown amount of cash before fleeing on foot.

PCPD: Driver charged with attempted murder after intentionally hitting bicyclist and fleeing © File Crime scene tape PANAMA CITY A Bay County woman faces attempted murder charges after she allegedly intentionally struck a bicyclist with her vehicle Friday and drove off.   Sandra Willis, 40, was arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder, according to a press release from the Panama City Police Department. © CONRIBUTED Sandra Willis The investigation began when police responded to a call in the 2700 block of East Seventh Court following reports of a bicyclist being struck by a vehicle. The male victim was found several feet from the road and the suspect had fled the scene, the release said.

The Vipers, all the way from New Zealand, are a relatively new phenomena in the bay, their appearances growing since the Gulf Yachting Association switched to the faster, more-vibrant vessel as the official boat of its annual regatta series.
