SINGAPORE: Mercurius Capital Investment said its legal counsels in Malaysia have started the drafting and preparations of the necessary legal documentation for the proposed acquisition of 10 grocery businesses in Malaysia, Bloomberg reported.
Additionally, the company s management has also commenced a review of the financial statements and related financial information of the stores, according to a Monday bourse disclosure.
The Singaporean real estate investment firm previously signed a legally binding term sheet in April to acquire Tan Lee Heng, Songmart Cash & Carry, Granville Grocery and seven Pasaraya Songmart branches located in Kluang, Kulaijaya, Kota Tinggi, Pulai Perdana 2, Sri Stulang, Bandar Tenggara and Chellam, Malaysia, Bloomberg reported.

Kuala Lumpur reported 55 cases today, the lowest since Dec 3 (49).
Selangor, meanwhile, reported 577 new cases.
Perlis also reported no news cases after a two-day spike caused by infections linked to an immigration detention centre cluster. Active cases: 16,279
Three of the deaths were from the
Klang Valley, while one was from
Sarawak.

There were three new clusters today.
No clusters reported triple-digit cases, with the highest being the Tembok Tapah cluster with 57 cases.

PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has detected 13 new Covid-19 clusters in the past 24 hours, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today.
In a statement, he said 10 were workplace clusters, two community clusters and one high-risk cluster,
FMT reported.
The clusters were detected in Johor, Selangor, Sabah, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur and Terengganu.
Five clusters were detected in Johor, and two each in Sarawak, Terengganu and Selangor. Kuala Lumpur and Sabah reported one cluster each.
The 13 new clusters are:
Selangor:
- Kompleks Perabut – a workplace cluster in Kuala Langat. The first few cases tested positive today after a targeted screening of factory workers in BantingSome 287 people were screened, 21 of whom tested positive.
