Letters to the editor: Green education, the 4J school board and the climate crisis

Please consider a vote for change. It’s time for a more diverse school board. We ask you to learn about and vote for Laural O’Rourke, Tom Di Liberto and Maya Rabasa. They are skilled folks who engage heavily in our schools, are parents, have life experience and have an unyielding commitment to better inclusion and equity for all our children. Editorial: Benton jail, courthouse bond will be tough sell

Benton County needs a new jail and a new courthouse. But are residents willing to foot the bill? That question has dogged the county for decades, and so far the answer has been a resounding “No.” County officials have a lot of work to do if they expect a different result the next time they ask voters to pay for new criminal justice facilities. Thirteen people killed in one of the deadliest border crashes on record were among 44 people who entered the U.S. through a hole cut into Southern California s border fence with Mexico, the Border Patrol said Wednesday.
