The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Central Office in Batasan Hills, Quezon City and its regional offices have recorded a total of 69 confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), 61 of whom have already recovered.
Based on the latest data on COVID-19 cases among the CSC employees nationwide , the commission logged seven active cases and one death.
There were 30 personnel in the Central Office who contracted the disease, it said. Of the number, 23 have recovered, while seven were logged as active cases.
It was CSC Commissioner Aileen Lourdes Lizada who gave the data to the Manila Bulletin.
“We are getting the information nationwide,” Lizada said.

As a result, the Central Office will “continue to be closed for one week” from March 15 to 19 due to five confirmed cases of COVID-19, the CSC said in a two-page advisory signed by CSC Chairperson Alicia dela Rosa-Bala.
“As part of precautionary measures, the CSC Central Office shall undertake disinfection measures and conduct contract tracing. The closure is also intended to allow officials and employees to observe the required period of self-isolation pending results of the COVID-19 testing conducted last week,” the advisory read.
The CSC advised its clients not to visit the Central Office from March 15 to 19.
