Article content Edmonton scored a failing grade from the C.D. Howe Institute for fiscal accountability and transparency in its most recent budgets and financial statements. In the research organization’s annual report card grading the financial presentations of 31 major municipalities across Canada, Edmonton was one of only two cities to receive an “F” grade. Final scores were based on a series of criteria related to the presentation of budgets and year-end financial statements, including date of approvals, date of release and how far into the documents results are presented. COVID-19 restrictions extended in Alberta CBC News Edmonton3 months ago 0:55Alberta Premier Jason Kenney says current provincial restrictions intended to slow the spread of the coronavirus will remain in place for at least two more weeks.0:55 Alberta reported 811 new cases of COVID-19 and 12 additional deaths from the disease on Sunday, according to the latest update posted to the province s website.  This brings the total number of deaths from COVID-19 to 1,284.  There are 794 people in the hospital due to the disease, 128 of whom are in intensive care. The province performed 12,302 tests on Friday.  There are  14,116 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta, down by 321 from Saturday.
