Nolan Foote spent the early portion of 2020 rehabbing an injury with goal of returning to play with the Kelowna Rockets, his junior team in the WHL, in that year’s Memorial Cup.
Then one wrinkle was added to the mix when he was traded to the Devils on Feb. 16, 2020, immediately altering the trajectory of his career. A few weeks later, COVID-19 shut down the world, along with his hopes of playing in the Memorial Cup.
