22 COVID variant cases now in Alabama

The number of COVID variant cases in Alabama continues to rise as screenings increase.
Last week, the Alabama Department of Public Health reported the state had 8 cases of B.1.1.7, a COVID variant first identified in the United Kingdom. By Monday, the number had increased to 22 cases in 7 counties: Autauga, Montgomery, Jefferson, Madison, Mobile, Elmore and Crenshaw counties.
