Jail for Old Town man who spat at custody officer

Now, Behar Kasemi has been jailed for more than two years at Swindon Crown Court after he admitted assaulting an emergency worker and breaching his earlier suspended sentence order. Sending him down for two years and four weeks, Judge Jason Taylor QC said he would serve half of his sentence in prison before he was released on licence. “If you commit any further offences during the licence period you stand liable to be recalled,” he told the Old Town man.

Several fire departments were called to a CHS Ethanol production facility in Steward, IL Friday morning after a blaze ignited in a milling building, several local news organizations reported.  Crews were dispatched to the Steward Road site after the fire was reported at about 10:55 a.m., coverage by the  Rochelle News-Leader said. Rochelle Fire Dept. Lt. Zach Prewett told the newspaper that a hammermill and dust collector were involved in the incident. Some corn and machinery inside the milling building was damaged during the fire, Rochelle Fire Chief Dave Sawlsville said in an account by radio station Superhits 93.5. No injuries were logged during the incident and crews were on scene for about two hours.

Thug, 37, admits killing recruitment firm boss, 55, in brutal assault outside his Kent home

A 37-year-old man admitted on Wednesday to killing a businessman in a violent assault outside his home. Lance Colston pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Jason Orwin during a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court, Kent. Mr Orwin, a managing director of a financial recruiting firm, died after suffering a head injury and cardiac arrest in the attack in Bower Place, Maidstone, in July last year. In a cruel twist of fate, the 55-year-old had been robbed just a few weeks earlier in an unrelated incident in which he suffered a fractured hip and had his custom-made, 18-carat, diamond-encrusted gold watch worth £10,000 stolen.
