9 & 10 News Brauer Productions finds home for films on Amazon Prime March 15, 2021 A Traverse City filmmaker now has a new home for all of his feature films. Rich Brauer is behind some favorite local films, like Frozen Stupid, Dogman, Barn Red, and Mr. Art Critic. But over the years they’ve been held by different distributors, and that’s made it a bit harder to find a solid audience. Brauer says now, one of those distributors is taking over his entire library. “They had been selling the daylights out of (Barn Red) ever since (2005), including up to right now, all around the world. And so I kicked that conversation into gear and was wondering if they were interested in these others. And they said ‘oh you’ve made other films?’ And (laughing) I said ‘yeah. There’s a whole bucket of them over here.’”
