After Honda took the veils off the four-door sedan in April, the all-new Civic will be joined by the five-door hatchback on June 23rd. The more practical option is made at the automaker’s Indiana plant, and under the skin, you can expect similar oily bits to the more affordable body style.

What’s the difference vs 2020 Ridgeline?
Honda has made a range of updates to the Ridgeline for the 2021 model year. It all starts with refreshed styling, including a squared-off nose, a new hood with a distinct power bulge, new LED headlights, new wheels, and numerous other small updates. The cabin, already one of the most comfortable in this segment, now benefits from a physical volume knob along with wireless charging, a smattering of new trim accents, and updated contrast stitching on the seats.
Together with Honda Performance Development, a new HPD Package has been released. It adds an HPD emblem, unique body graphics, black fender flares, and more. The Utility, Function, and Function+ packages are also new. Finally, all-wheel drive now comes as standard.

Following its world debut in Thailand last November, the Honda City Hatchback has now been launched in Indonesia, replacing the third-generation Jazz that was previously offered there. Interestingly enough, the archipelagic country is welcoming the hatchback version of the latest City first, before the sedan that is already available to us in Malaysia.
For the Indonesian market, the City Hatchback comes in a sole RS trim level, although customers will get to choose between a six-speed manual (yes, you read right) and a CVT, both mated to the same engine.
Just like our market, that engine is not the 1.0 litre VTEC Turbo three-cylinder petrol unit offered in Thailand. Instead, it’s a 1.5 litre DOHC i-VTEC naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine that makes 121 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque, which Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) – the local distributor there – says is the most powerful in its class.
