Book by noted Pashto filmstar Aman Khan hits stalls

PESHAWAR: The noted film, stage and drama star Aman Khan’s book, “Main aik flop hero... Lekin?” (I am a flop hero.. But?) has been published and hit the stalls though it is yet to be launched formally.
The 638-page collection is the autobiography of the famous Urdu and Pashto film actor in which the author sheds light on the ups and downs of film industry besides his 50 years-long experience, observation and history of the showbiz industry.
Born at Mohallah Koocha Risaldar in famous Qissa Khwani Bazaar in 1942, Lal Muhammad aka Lali started his acting career with the screen name of Aman Khan from a Pashto movie, Kala khazan.kala bahar (sometimes autumn, sometimes spring).

KARACHI: Pakistan began its campaign with a win over arch-rival India in the opening encounter of the Triangular Blind Cricket series played at the Bashundhara Cricket Ground, Dhaka on Saturday.
Indian captain Ajay Reddy won the toss and opted to bowl first. Indian bowlers started well by picking up two early Pakistan wickets of Zafar Iqbal (6) and Muhammad Rashid (0). But then Nisar Ali and Moin Aslam contributed 59 runs in a crucial stand to stabilize the innings. Later on, Badar Munir took the charge and scored a fiery 50 from just 27 balls by smashing four sixes as Pakistan posted 185 for 9 in 20 overs.

Given the surge in coronavirus cases, a lockdown has been imposed in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir for one week starting today (Monday).
According to Mirpur Deputy Commissioner Badar Munir, all educational institutions and public transport will remain closed for two weeks.
In addition, marriage halls and public gatherings have been banned for one month, he said, adding that medical stores, hospitals and petrol pumps will remain open in the city.
However, meat, vegetable, fruit and other businesses will be open only on Tuesdays and Fridays.
