HED invites applications for DPI, DE posts

LAHORE:Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) has invited applications from suitable and interested officers of its department for three different posts.
These posts include Director Women DPI (Colleges), Lahore, Deputy Director Admin DPI (Colleges), Lahore and Director of Education (Colleges), Sargodha. Only female Associate Professors/ Chief Instructors working in public sector colleges are eligible to apply for the post of Director Women DPI (Colleges), Lahore, while for the other two posts only Assistant Professors/ Sr Instructor (Male/ Female) working in public sector colleges are eligible to apply. The interested candidates have been directed to apply online by July 27, 2021.

LAHORE: The Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) has allowed affiliation of the public and private colleges with private universities without taking the Higher Education Commission (HEC) on board.
The provincial cabinet has approved the policy in violation of the directions of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC). The HEC had imposed a ban on private universities to affiliate any public and private college but the HED has allowed the affiliation.
