“The more we elevate our customer services, the more it will propel the growth of the country and its people. So I want you all to do your duty,” she told the Biman employees.

DHAKA, Feb 25, 2021 (BSS) – Prime Minister’s Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman today underscored the need for changing the mindset about paying taxes to increase tax-GDP ratio for inclusive development.
“For an inclusive development, the country’s revenue generation is more important. In this regard, it is essential to change the mindset – we have to pay tax and we have to build the nation,” he said.
Salman said this while meeting with Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) President Rizwan Rahman and members of DCCI board of directors in the city, said a press release.

Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and a joint venture of Changjiang Yichang Waterway Engineering Bureau (CYWEB) and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) today signed a deal on the expansion of Cox s Bazar Airport s runway.
The runway of this airport will be the longest in the country and wide-bodied aircraft like Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 747-400 will be able to land there after completion of the project worth Tk 1,568.86 crore, Caab said in a press release.

DHAKA, Dec 30, 2020 (BSS) – The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) today approved a total of six proposals including one for importing 50,000 metric tons non-basmati boiled rice.
The approval came from the 37th meeting of the CCGP in this year held virtually with Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal in the chair.
Briefing reporters virtually after the meeting, Cabinet Division Additional Secretary Dr Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal said that Bangladesh will import 50,000 metric tons non-basmati boiled rice from MS PK Agri Link Private Limited of India with a cost of Taka 168.62 crore.
The day’s CCGP meeting also approved a proposal from the Local Government Division to appoint the joint venture of RAMBOL A/S Denmark, Aqua Consultant and Associates Limited (Bangladesh) and Resource Planning and Management Consultants (Pvt) Limited (Bangladesh) as consultants with around Taka 57.79 crore for the “Second City Development” proje
