Westwood Police Logs: Feb. 8-15: Coyote and raccoon sightings
The following are excerpts from the Westwood Police logs from Feb. 8-15. The logs are public record.
Monday, Feb. 8
11:40 p.m.: Police were summoned to Highland Glen on reports of a suspicious person lurking around Unit 1. They were unable to locate.
Tuesday, Feb. 9
7:40 a.m.: A resident reported seeing a large coyote in the area of Evergreen Avenue near Oak Street. Officers checked the neighborhood, but were unable to locate.
9:51 a.m.: A Pomeranian/husky mix was reported missing in the vicinity of Pond Street.
10:41 a.m.: One vehicle rear-ended another in the vicinity of 710 High St. The operator of the trailing vehicle said they had lost control because of a sneeze. There were no injuries, and minor damage to both vehicles.
