  I have a headache… That will teach me for drinking too much? Not really. We had a good time, it was a great party and I will go on the wagon for a few days. Being older, I don’t recover as fast but I’m not addicted to consciousness modifying substances… I just indulge their existence.     I could feel despair nonetheless with my throbbing brains… But not really. Why is the Hungarian Reformed Church in America mum about the death of Pastor Debreczeni in Phoenix, Arizona? One of the most charismatic pastors of the Hungarian Reformed Church in America has died. In the past we wrote that lawsuits and chaos paralyze the Church in America.  One of the most vicious court battles involved Pastor Debreczeni.  Church officials openly called Debreczeni immoral, a liar and cheater who illegally taped conversations.  Zsolt Demeter, Presbiter and Bishop Zoltán Lizik of Windsor, Canada spread shockingly distasteful innuendos.  (Read more about the accusations here) Debreczeni’s sin was that he created an independent Hungarian congregation and refused to cooperate with Demeter and Lizik. In response Bishop Lizik, a staunch supporter of the Orbán-regime, said that he “stole” the congregation. Coronavirus: Reformed Churches Suspend Public Worship Services Hungary’s reformed churches are suspending their public worship services and events from Monday until the end of the month, the Hungarian Reformed Church’s synod has said. The government on Thursday announced new lockdown measures to combat a third wave of coronavirus infections. Under the new restrictions, almost all shops and services will close from March 8 to 22.
