Governor KP approves 2% quota for minority students in public sector universities
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman has approved a two percent quota for minority students in public sector universities of the province.
In this regard, the Higher Education Department has issued directives to all the universities.
The department has directed the vice chancellors to present a policy case within fifteen days.
The minority quota will not be applicable on engineering universities, medical and veterinary colleges.

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday paid his respects at the Roza-e-Rasool (Peace be Upon Him) in Madinah the second holiest site in Islam. Prime Minister @ImranKhanPTI at Aqdam e Aaliya, while he s in Madina to pay respect at Roza E Rasoolﷺ, the PM s Office said in a statement issued on Twitter.
The premier is set to perform Umrah in Makkah as well.
Earlier, Governor of Madinah, Amir Faisal bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, had received the prime minister upon arrival, the PM s Office had said.
