Egg supply and prices won t be impacted by the massive fire at one of Hickman s Family Farms facilities over the weekend. 166,000 egg-laying hens died in the fire and two barns were burned to the ground.

Their other concern is making sure their consumers get the food they need. Hickman says that the supply in the grocery stores will not be impacted.

BUCKEYE, Ariz. A fire at the Hickman Egg Farm burned two barns and more than 100,000 live chickens on Saturday afternoon.
The Maricopa County Sheriff s Office and the Buckeye Valley Fire Department responded to the area and contained the fire, officials said.
The fire was initially consuming two large warehouses holding live chickens and was moving onto a third when fire personnel arrived, officials said.
A total of 166,000 live chickens were killed in the fire, officials said.
A fire broke out at Hickman's Family Farms on Saturday, March 6, and thousands of hens died. Two barns were also lost in the fire, the Buckeye Valley Fire Department said.

One adult patient was transported to Abrazo West Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition, according to officials.
