WALDOBORO A way to support local farmers, growers and fisherman in Waldoboro will be open to the public on Mondays, from 3 - 6 p.m., from June 7 to October 25, at the Long Cove Farmer s Market at East Forty Farm.
“This is the second year of the market and we will have a wonderfully diverse assortment of products at the market,” said the Market, in a news release.
Lakin s Gorges Cheese is celebrating 10 years making original recipe cow s milk cheese and will have a range of fresh and aged cheeses available. Owner Allison Lakin lives at East Forty Farm, and the whey from the cheese is fed to the farm s forest grazed pigs producing pork. Also check out their handmade pasta and cannoli filled with Lakin s Gorges Basket Ricotta. New this year – order cheese boards for pick up at the market on the website www.lakinsgorgescheese.com.
