View Comments A federal judge has sentenced a former Regions Bank manager from Avon to three years in prison and a $315,000 fine for bank and mail fraud charges, according to prosecutors.   Susan Fruits, 46, operated two bank fraud schemes at the Brownsburg bank for three years, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Friday. Officials said she would withdraw money from customers’ Certificate of Deposit accounts without them knowing, forge their signatures and approve the withdrawal. Investigators said she stole more than $180,000 from customers.   Fruits was also charged and sentenced for her role in spending all of the funds deposited in the bank accounts of children she had been tapped to serve as guardian over. Fruits was named trustee of the accounts after her close friend died in 2015. Each account for the children had over $50,000, officials said.
