Simmons First National Corp. on Tuesday reported record quarterly results for the fourth quarter, delivering $88.3 million in net income and earnings per share of 65 cents.
Profits were flat for Simmons First National Corp. in the third quarter, with the bank reporting Tuesday that it achieved net income of $80.6 million matching 2021 and earnings per share of 63 cents, down nearly 15%.
Simmons First National Corp. reported sagging profitability in a second-quarter earnings announcement Thursday, with bank officials noting that net income dropped to $27.5 million compared with $74.9 million a year ago caused by merger-related expenses from the bank s acquisition of Spirit of Texas Bancshares Inc. in early April.
