People who enter the tower blocks could face court action.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Police worked in partnership to obtain Partial Closure Orders on all communal areas, across thirteen residential tower blocks in the Lincoln Green area of Leeds. The action was taken as part of Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Police’s ongoing commitment to tackle anti-social behaviour and associated criminality within the buildings, whilst providing support to residents. The order prevents access to all areas of the buildings including the foyer, lifts and stairwells unless visiting a resident or with the prior permission from Leeds City Council.

Partial Closure Orders are in place at two addresses in Sompting and Lancing. Neighbourhood police officers on patrol. Stock image. TWO suspected drug dens have been shut down by police over fears of crime and antisocial behaviour. Officers responded to reports of drugs being used at addresses in Hurstfield and Busticle Lane in Lancing and Sompting. Both addresses were home to “vulnerable” tenants, Sussex Police said. It is feared there may have been “cuckooing”, where devious dealers force their way into vulnerable people’s homes in order to sell drugs to customers. Now the two addresses have been shut using Partial Closure Orders which bans outsiders visiting the addresses.
