According to a report, if you don t agree to WhatsApp s new privacy policy update, you will be able to receive calls and notifications, but will not be able to read or send messages from the app. In an email to one of its merchant partners, reviewed by TechCrunch, Facebook-owned WhatsApp said it will slowly ask such users to comply with the new terms in order to have full functionality of WhatsApp starting May 15.

Facebook-owned WhatsApp messaging app is under fire currently due to its controversial privacy policy. Many users across the globe are switching to its alternative messaging apps such as Signal and Telegram. Encrypted messaging app Telegram which added over 100 new million users in January and getting popular among Indians has rolled out several new features to attract more users.
