The publisher of Nantucket Magazine has issued an additional statement about the cover story of this month s issue on Barstool Sports founder David Portnoy.
Last week, the magazine apologized for anyone upset with the story because of previous offensive statements and actions they alleged Portnoy has made.
Boston.com reports publisher Bruce Percelay pointed out Portnoy s philanthropy and support of small businesses during the pandemic and said anyone who undertakes such efforts should be applauded.
Portnoy has criticized the magazine for its initial apology.
