Budget To Dominate Session As Nevada Lawmakers Begin Work

Nevada Dems Vote For Impeachment, Amodei Votes No

Listen to the interview here. Noah Glick: Since yesterday s vote, we ve heard that this was a more bipartisan effort than President Trump s previous impeachment, but for Nevada s lawmakers, the vote fell pretty much along party lines. Can you break down that for us? Paul Boger: Representatives Dina Titus, Susie Lee, Steven Horsford all Democrats voted to impeach President Trump yesterday. They called for accountability on the count of the president. During his remarks, in particular, on the floor, Horsford said that this act should be reason enough to make sure that Donald Trump is a one-term president.

Nevada s Vast Stores Of Lithium Could Fuel The Energy Transition But At What Cost?

Listen to Part 1 of this story. Some estimate the lithium-ion battery market will be worth more than $100 billion by 2027. Much of that growth can be attributed to the meteoric rise of electric vehicles, thanks in large part to Tesla. Today on Colorado Edition: As the first COVID-19 vaccines are distributed, we examine the logistics of inoculating staff and residents of long-term care facilities. We learn more about how lithium-ion batteries can help power a renewable energy future – but mining for the metal may be cause for environmental concern across the Mountain West. As more people than ever are choosing national parks to recharge during the pandemic, we look at the noisy toll that’s taking on those resources. And we’ll explore a rare celestial conjunction that will be at its peak on Dec. 21.
