If this sounds like the height of hubris, it was. For in the beginning of my bout with COVID-19, I was sure I would quickly beat it. I was wrong.
Like most people, I was in some denial. My symptoms started like a common cold. Well, almost.
One day I was at the top of my game and the next I had this deep, dry, hacking cough that seemingly came out of nowhere. Then a bad sinus headache hit me right between the eyes.
