Indiana lowers minimum age for COVID vaccine to 45

Indiana Opens Registration To Hoosiers 55 And Older, Announces Mass Vaccination Sites

Credit Justin Hicks / IPB News Hoosiers 55 and older can now register for appointments to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. The Indiana Department of Health announced the expansion Tuesday. If you or a loved one falls into that age group, you can register at OurShot.in.gov. If you’re in need of assistance, you can call 211 or one of Indiana’s Area Agencies on Aging. In its announcement, state officials did not address Hoosiers with five specific underlying health conditions. During a press conference on Feb. 10, they said vaccine appointments will likely be direct outreach from primary care providers.  Health officials said on social media said Hoosiers with specific comorbidities should reach out to their primary care providers – after that, they ll be provided a separate registration link.
