EACC eyes seizure of Kidero’s luxury apartments
Summary
EACC has revealed a trail of cash allegedly stolen from City Hall and used in the upgrade luxurious apartments in Nairobi’s Riverside Drive that are owned by former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero.
The anti-graft agency reveals that part of the loot wired from City Hall through a fake legal contract was sent to the former governor on January 7, 2014 through a company known as Cups Limited.
.The commission has launched a court bid to recover the Sh14.4 million from Dr Kidero and is alternatively seeking one of the apartments to be held in trust on behalf of City Hall.

Governors Charity Ngilu (Kitui), Martin Wambora (Embu) and Dhadho Godhana (Tana River) will today battle it out for a chance to chair the Council of Governors (CoG).
County bosses are seeking to replace Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya who has served his maximum two terms.
The governors will also be electing CoG vice chair, whip and 12 committee chairs after the term of the current team lapsed.
Mrs Ngilu will be the second woman to run for the post after Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru failed to secure it last time as she was prevailed upon by her male colleagues to step down in favour of Mr Oparanya.

And his entry into local politics appears to have raised temperatures, with local ODM leaders claiming some politicians who were were not members were out to ruin the party.
Woman Representative Gladys Wanga on Saturday said the party would use today’s BBI rally to “call the house to order”.
