Renault s crossover Triber secures 4-star safety rating in crash tests

In its latest round of #SaferCarsForIndia crash test results, Global NCAP, a major programme of the Towards Zero Foundation, a UK-based charity working globally in support of the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety with a goal of halving road deaths and serious injuries by 2030, has released the scores for crash tests conducted on Triber which achieved four-star rating for adult occupants and three stars for child occupants.

Adult occupant The protection offered to the driver, and the passenger s head and neck were good. Driver s chest showed adequate protection while the passenger s chest received good protection. The bodyshell was rated as stable, and it was capable of withstanding further loadings. The footwell area was rated as stable, too. Side impact Regulation UN95: the car met technical requirements of regulation UN95 as standard. The vehicle has standard SBR for driver and passenger. The car has standard ABS. Child occupant The child seat for the three-year-old prevented excessive forward movement during the impact offering fair protection to the chest. The 18-month-old CRS was installed with ISOFIX and support leg and protection offered to the 1.5-year-old dummy was good.
