Former acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has reacted to the appointment of Abdulrasheed Bawa as the new Chairman of the commission.
Tosin Ajaomo, the lawyer to Magu, said the appointment made by President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday came as a shock.
Buhari had yesterday asked the Senate to confirm Bawa as substantive EFCC Chairman.
But Ajaomo told Channels Television that justice has not been served in the allegations of corruption levelled against his client, Magu.
“Sincerely, I need to tell you that this appointment came to me as a shock. There is still an unfinished assignment that was pending,” he said.
Sanwo-Olu’s statement on Tuesday was signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile.
The Governor described the First Lady as a courageous, amiable, and strong pillar of support for President Muhammadu Buhari.
Sanwo-Olu said Aisha had touched the lives of millions of Nigerians, especially women and children, since 2015.
”As an advocate of women’s and children rights, your campaign for young girls to get primary and secondary school education before getting married has yielded positive results in the country,” Sanwo-Olu said.
The Governor said Aisha’s ‘Future Assured’ has continued advocacy work for the health and well-being of women and children through community mobilisation and health promotion.

Strong indications emerged in Ilorin, on Sunday that warring factions of the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress will conduct parallel registration membership exercises.
Investigations by our correspondent revealed that the two factions have started mobilising members for the exercise billed to commence on Tuesday.
The embattled state chairman of the party, Bashir Bolarinwa, insisted that he remained the authentic chairman adding that those who will carry out the exercise had already been trained.
Meanwhile, the Abdullahi Samari-led faction of the party made up of loyalists of the state governor, equally announced that it had trained party staff who would register party members.
