TRUSSVILLE North Chalkville Road, in Trussville, is closed after a head-on collision Tuesday morning.
The crash happened at Skyline Drive.
Trussville Fire & Rescue and the Trussville Police Department are responding. One person had non-life-threatening injuries and was transported from the scene for treatment, according to Fire Chief Tim Shotts. The other driver was not hurt.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area and use extreme caution.

TRUSSVILLE The Trussville City Council approved a revised version of an agreement with Trussville City Schools concerning the use of properties between the two entities.
During its regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021, the council unanimously approved the Reciprocal Use Agreement with TCS. In the agreement, the City and TCS agree to “memorialize their longstanding informal reciprocal use agreement in writing to facilitate better understanding of each party’s role in the continued relationship between the parties and to organize, to promote, and to conduct programs and activities that further the education, health and general welfare of the community.”

TRUSSVILLE Trussville Fire and Rescue is on the scene of a condominium fire in the 600 block of Penny Lane.
Firefighters were first called to the scene at Cahaba Parc Condominiums at 7:11 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021.
Fire Chief Tim Shotts said a single unit on the second floor was damaged but no injuries have been reported.
“It’s pretty heavily damaged but it’s not destroyed,” Shotts said. “It’s going to have to be gutted and redone on the inside but the units on either side are okay.”
Shotts said the condo was occupied at the time of the fire but the cause has not been determined
TRUSSVILLE The Trussville Home Depot is doing its part this holiday season.
The store’s manager Marshall Smith recently presented Trussville fire chief Tim Shotts with a $1,000 check to go toward the department’s Christmas for Kids program, which is designed to aid families in Trussville who need help during Christmas.
According to store representatives, the Home Depot Foundation/Operation Surprise made the donation possible. Operation Surprise is designed to give Home Depot an outlet to gives back to those who serve their communities.
Anyone interested in contributing to Christmas for Kids can drop off new, unwrapped toys at any Trussville fire station or make a monetary donation by mailing a check to Trussville Fire and Rescue at 421 Cherokee Drive in Trussville.
