(Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association) The Minnesota Bio-Fuels Association (MN Bio-Fuels) and KS95 FM teamed up on July 28 to educate drivers on a the benefits of using Unleaded 88 (E15) during an hour-long promotion at a Holiday in New Hope.
Drivers who fueled up with E15 during the promotion were rewarded with prizes such as $20 in cash, Stay & Play passes for St Croix casino in Turtle Lake, tickets to the St Paul Saints, Crayola Experience passes and KS95 merchandise.
“Our on-the-ground promotions are helpful in educating drivers on why they should be using E15, which is better for the environment, boosts Minnesota’s economy and makes us more energy independent,” said Tim Rudnicki, executive director at MN Bio-Fuels.

Yesterday’s promotion was held from 12 pm to 1 pm. The Highland Service Minnoco station is located on 485 Snelling Ave in St Paul.

During the virtual plant visit, the students were given a virtual presentation on the plant’s operations, facts on the ethanol industry, and shown videos on the ethanol production process and the ethanol industry’s economic impact in Minnesota.
“It was a pleasure explaining to the students from Worthington High School how we convert the corn grown right here into ethanol and the overall importance of the ethanol industry to Minnesota’s rural economy,” said Brian Kletscher, CEO of Highwater Ethanol
