The
Kansas Hospital Association also announced the hiring of
Michelle Leah’s son loves parks. The central Topeka mother is the exact demographic Family Park is trying to attract, but Leah said she might struggle to visit the park s proposed location.
She said she usually has transportation but doesn’t have a functioning car right now because it was totaled. Her limited access to a car would make it hard for her to get out to the proposed location of Family Park.
“It could be a challenge if the bus was the only form of transportation that someone was relying on,” she said. “It’s great if we are building a new park. I think transportation would be key.”
