Jim McDonell, the MPP for Stormont Dundas South Glengarry, was removed from an SDG committee on Monday.
A key information report was presented to the SDG council during a regular meeting, which outlined the current progress and way forward for a local education advocacy committee. The committee is tasked with recommending changes to the education system, which will support educating local students as close to their home communities as possible.

Originally, 11 members were listed as part of the working group to aid consultant Monika Ferenczy in preparing the report. Ferenczy was hired, in part, to help move the project forward after some members said politics were hindering its progress.
