Street-sweeping underway
Crews have begun sweeping roads and sidewalks in high pedestrian traffic areas and in areas where runoff can affect waterways. At the end of April, operations will expand city-wide, with support from Jara Sweeping and The Munro Group. Work is scheduled to be completed by mid-June, depending on weather and the impact of COVID-related restrictions on operations.

The Manitoulin Health Centre Board of directors is looking for a new permanent CEO.
Board chair, Terry Olmstead says Lynn Foster, who was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2018, is no longer with the organization and thanked her for her contributions over the years.
He says there will be two interim co-CEOs appointed for the time being.
They are Paula Fields, the Vice-President of Clinical Services & Chief Nursing Officer and Tim Vine, the Vice-President Corporate Support Services & Chief Financial Officer.
Olmstead says both individuals have extensive experience and the hospital centres will be in good hands during the transition.
The search for a new CEO is now underway and the board hopes to have someone in place soon.
