Real Estate) A couple who designed and built a Hamptons-inspired home in Boulder sold it for $7.9 million last month, earning the top spot among local home sales in April. Dennis and Annette Martin, both of whom are architects, sold their newly built 5,665-square-foot home at 1810 Norwood Ave. on April 15 to Vinay Nair, according to property records. Nair is the founder of New York-based The TIFIN Group, which invests in and operates financial technology companies, according to his LinkedIn. The Martins purchased the property for $2.03 million under their respective trusts in 2017, according to public records. They designed a three-bedroom, four-bathroom home for the half-acre lot in the foothills and hired Jamey Valentine Construction to complete it in 2019.

David Speyrer, a programmer and designer for Washington-based video game developer Valve Corp., bought the 6,247-square-foot house at 1357 S. Cherryvale in Boulder on March 5. Speyrer has worked for Valve since 1999 and has helped develop first-person shooter games, such as “Half-Life 2” and “Left 4 Dead,” according to his LinkedIn. Sellers Mark and Angela Heisten purchased the property in 2016 for $2.75 million, according to property records. Mark Heisten is a scholar in residence for advertising strategy at the University of Colorado Boulder.
