An ethics complaint filed against the mayor of Naples is alleging corruption at City Hall, including a child prostitution ring, involving high-ranking leaders in Naples and Collier County.
The complaint was written by Brian Dye, the director of technology services for the City of Naples, to the Florida Commission on Ethics with a date of Monday, May 17.
The 7-page complaint alleges that Mayor Teresa Heitmann abused her position and office, directed Dye to break Sunshine Laws and destroy public records and used her position for personal gain.
After one of the deadliest years for law enforcement on record, community members gathered to honor fallen officers in Collier County Thursday evening.

Police are still investigating this attack that happened on Friday night.
The Naples Police Department hasn’t said much so far, since it is an active investigation.
No arrests have been made, yet beachgoers really hope police do so soon.
Monday may have been a serene day on the beach, enjoying the white sand and blue water. But, just three nights ago, Naples Police say someone violated that serenity.
Someone stole a backpack after hitting a man in the back of the knee with a stick or club that appeared to have nails sticking out of it. The attack left the victim with a half-inch long gash on his inner knee.

A mother was terrified for her child’s life after they were threatened at a hotel pool. She says a woman claimed to be law enforcement, and it did not end there. The mother says the woman yelled racial slurs at her and her son.
Thursday, Naples Police Department arrested Sallie Boles, 50, of North Carolina, for disturbing the peace at Inn of Naples.
“It was definitely scary, and I was definitely scared for my son’s life,” Portia Ballard told WINK News.
Sgt. Buddy Bonollo submitted a written complaint outlining alleged policy violations by Cianciulli to the professional standards division of the department in January, according to the notice of disciplinary action.
At the completion of the internal investigation, it was determined Cianciulli conducted the secondary employment functions while on duty and was not forthright in his sworn testimony, according to the notice of disciplinary action.
