Qatar Police Recruit Nepali Citizens, Leaving Kathmandu Out of the Loop There is an urgent need for Nepal to sign a formal agreement with Qatar in order to safeguard the interests of its workers in that country. Nepal’s government forbids its citizens from serving in Qatar’s security agencies as no formal agreement exists. The Nepali embassy in Qatar has sent a letter to the country’s foreign ministry regarding the issue but no decision has been made.
