March 13 marks the one-year anniversary of the statewide lockdown, an emergency measure to help stop the spread of COVID-19. There have been many changes since that time in schools, businesses and other aspects of life. This is one family’s journey through the changes.

Add all remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer for 30 minutes until peppers are tender. Top with shredded cheese and diced onions and serve with crackers. Nevis Knowledge Bowl teams competing virtually | Park Rapids Enterprise

The four Knowledge Bowl teams at Nevis School are competing in a virtual format this year. Written By: Lorie R. Skarpness | 8:00 am, Mar. 3, 2021 × The Nevis Senior Boys Knowledge Bowl team made up of Derek Lindow, Jack McNamee, Daniel Aman, Dawson Andress and Reese Kline has been excelling this season. (Photos courtesy of Nevis School). The team s last regular season meet was March 3. The school’s top two teams are scheduled to compete at Regions March 17. The top four teams at Regions will advance to the state competition. Lou Ann Muhm has been the team’s coach for 22 years. “I took over from Marsha Wolff,” she said. “The biggest change has been going from one team that first year to now typically having eight teams. The program has grown hugely. This year we are down to four teams. I think some of the students weren’t interested in doing the virtual format, but it has worked OK.”
