There have been 305,929 total cases of COVID-19 and 5,308 deaths reported in Nevada through Tuesday, April 6, per the state s Department of Health and Human Services. Of those, 236,130 cases and 4,157 deaths have been reported in Clark County. Nevada s test positivity rate, measured using testing encounters over a 14-day period, is 4.5%. It s the sixth consecutive day that the positivity rate has increased, according to DHHS figures. For hospitalizations, there were 316 patients in Nevada with either confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19, with 279 of those patients in Clark County, per data from the Nevada Hospital Association.

It s the fifth consecutive day that the test positivity rate has increased after declining each day since mid-January. For hospitalizations, there were 351 total patients statewide with either confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19, 82 of whom were in intensive care, per data from the Nevada Hospital Association.

Novel Coronavirus In Nevada: Tuesday, February 9, 2021 5:22 p.m. | February 9, 2021 Washoe Reports Lowest New Daily Cases On Tuesday Since Mid-June New daily COVID-19 cases have been declining in Washoe.  Over the last two weeks, there have been an average of 81 additional cases per day. The number of cases reported on Tuesday was below that average. There were only 13 cases reported, which is the lowest since June 17.  There were also four additional deaths reported in Washoe on Tuesday. Statewide, there have been an average of about 700 new daily cases over the last two weeks and 16 deaths daily during that same period.
