The death took place on Thursday, April 29 of Marie McGlynn (née Pirollo) of 10 Davitt Court, Mountmellick and Ballyfermot, Dublin.
Peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.

The death took place on Tuesday, April 27 of John Duggan of Clonboyne, Portlaoise.
Beloved husband of Anna and sadly missed by his parents Dan and Margaret, brothers Liam and Cyril, sisters Ann and Noeleen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and all of his extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
The big long-awaited day is about to happen for the new St Francis Special School in Portlaoise. A new purpose built school for 100 children with learning disab.

The exhibition idea came from Rosco being called Paddy numerous times across the world simply because he was Irish.
“This is a study of Irish men called Paddy from all walks of life through the medium of portrait photography, he explained. I want to tell the story of Ireland’s oldest and youngest Paddy, of Paddy the farmer, the celebrity, the binman, the Paddy from abroad who has settled in Ireland or who has an ethnic heritage and identity.
Child dies after tragic quad accident

A family and community are in mourning in Laois after news of the death of a young boy following an accident with a quad.
The boy, aged 10, suffered injuries after an accident on a quad bike on his family s land, in Dooary, Ballyroan.
It is understood that he may have been trapped under the quad for a period of time before he was found.
The child was airlifted by ambulance helicopter from Ballyroan GAA grounds, and taken straight to Temple Street children s hospital in Dublin, on Wednesday, February 10.
Sadly he lost his fight for life and passed away on Thursday evening.
