Two people have been charged in relation to a murder investigation that occurred in Didcot in January last year. Zarahn Zaman, 20, of Weavers Hill, Milton Keynes, was charged with assisting an offender, committing an act/series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice, and failing to comply with a Section 49 notice to disclose the key to protected information. Aiysha Lazereg, 20, of no fixed abode, has been charged with assisting an offender. Both Zaman and Lazereg have been charged via postal requisition in connection with the investigation into the murder of 44-year-old Darren MacCormick in Mendip Heights in Didcot on January 9, 2020.
DRIVERS are being warned of a new road closure in Redditch. Enfield Road is to shut between the junctions with Windmill Drive and Weavers Hill for six days starting on March 19. The closure is needed while the county council carry out footway reconstruction work. A much longer road closure has begun at Parsons Road, which is due to be shut for 182 days between Mount Pleasant and The Mayfields. It is shut because of Severn Trent sewer works. Meanwhile Redditch residents are reminded they have until March 24 o comment on plans to bring in new no waiting regulations at Woodrow South and Salford Close,
