Member Gō Morita will leave Johnny s & Associates agency on same day
Talent agency Johnny s & Associates announced on Friday that its all-male idol group V6 will officially break up on November 1. Group member Gō Morita will leave the talent agency on the same day. The other five members Masayuki Sakamoto, Hiroshi Nagano, Yoshihiko Inohara, Ken Miyake, and Junichi Okada will continue to stay with the agency and will continue their work individually.
The six-member group released their CD debut on November 1, 1995. The statement thanked fans for celebrating the group s 25th anniversary last year via a livestream.
The film is slated to open in Japan on March 26.
The film was tentatively slated to open in the United States on December 30, but was moved up to December 25, and then moved up again to December 18. The film earned US$2.2 million to rank at #1 in its opening three days in the United States box office.
Sony Pictures Entertainment and Toho had planned to open the film in North America and Japan, respectively, on September 4. The companies then delayed the film until tentatively next year due to the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Sony Pictures Entertainment had been targeting April 23, 2021 for the North American opening date, but a teaser video in October revealed a December debut.
The first season debuted on
Netflix on December 10 in 190 countries worldwide.
Yoshiki Watabe and Yasuko Kuramitsu penned the fist season s scripts with Satō. ROBOT is credited with planning and production.
The manga centers on Ryōhei Arisu (pronounced the same as Alice in Japanese), a male high school student who is irritated with his intolerable everyday life. One night, he tags along with his bad friends Karube and Chōta to hang out in town. However, the town is suddenly covered in giant fireworks. When he comes to his senses, Ryōhei notices that no one else is around. Finding themselves in a different world, Ryōhei, Karube, and Chōta are forced to participate in survival games or die right off the bat. The three fight to live, as well as to find a way back to their own world.
