With only four days to go, The Salvation Army needs to raise $11 million
TORONTO, Dec. 21, 2020 /CNW/ - With Christmas around the corner, The Salvation Army is seeing an alarming increase in the number of Canadians seeking support. In some locations, requests are two to five times higher than last year. As a result, the organization is issuing an urgent plea for donations to help them meet their $23 million Christmas Kettle Campaign goal. With only 50 per cent of the goal reached, the organization is calling on Canadians who can help to consider digging deep, as every donation will give the gift of hope to someone in need.
TORONTO, Dec. 17, 2020 /CNW/ - On Saturday, December 19, Walmart Canada will host the 11
th annual Fill the Kettle Day and match donations made by individuals to Salvation Army Christmas kettles located in its stores nationwide, to a maximum of $100,000. Canadians are invited to make donations that will support their local community with the option to tap and give through technology.

With many Canadians battling the unforeseen challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the one in 11 who struggle to make ends meet, donations made to a Salvation Army kettle will help the organization meet requests for assistance, which are at an all-time high.
