A MAN has been sentenced after sending sexually explicit messages to two young girls online – who were actually decoys from an online vigilante group. Brian Fellows, 52, of York Street, Leigh, pleaded guilty to attempting to sexually communicate with a child on two occasions.
Bolton Crown Court heard how on May 2, 2020, Fellows messaged who he believed to be a 12-year-old girl on social media. Later on May 5 he messaged a second person, who appeared to be a 14-year-old girl. Simon Barrett, prosecuting, told the court: “The offences relate to the defendant communicating with two decoys for an online group called Stop.”
