The Wild World Heroes challenge kicks off at county libraries from tomorrow. The competition, held in partnership with charity, the Reading Agency, invites children to borrow and read six library books during the summer. To take part in the challenge, children need to sign up at their nearest library, where they will be given a special collector’s folder to keep a record of their reading journey. Challenge ambassador Steve Backshall, known for presenting BBC’s Deadly 60 and The Really Wild Show, said: “The Reading Agency has teamed up with the World Wildlife Fund for Wild World Heroes, an exciting nature-themed reading challenge that will inspire children to take action for the environment.
