Twenty-thousand dollars in weekly raffles are the newest incentive to be offered by this country’s Government to encourage locals to get vaccinated.
4 weekly raffles of $5,000 will be held for anyone who has been vaccinated. The Ministry of Health has records of names which will all be entered for a chance to win.
This latest incentive follows plans for the raffling of lands at Judges Hill valued at $65,000.
Nursing homes welcome donations from US-based charity

An international charity has given generously to two nursing homes in Antigua and Barbuda as a means of easing the strain they may be facing during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Blessed Hands Generous Hearts (BHGH), a United States-based charity with a local arm in Antigua and Barbuda, made the donations to Golden Treasure Care Centre in Liberta and Bishop John E Knight Golden Home in Judges Hill on Thursday.
Among the items donated were beds, wheelchairs, crutches, a geriatric chair, a lifting device, commode, cleaning supplies, food thickeners, adult pampers and pads.

Olamaie owner Michael Fojtasek bet on his biscuits, and it seems his instincts were right. The owner of the refined Southern restaurant last summer turned his dormant restaurant, which he temporarily shuttered March 15, into a takeout shop called Little Ola’s that features the beloved “secret menu” biscuits that have been a hit at the Judges Hill restaurant since it opened.
The biscuits are served individually and as the base for an array of sandwiches, including pimento cheese and fried chicken versions. Little Ola’s is now getting its own home. Fojtasek is opening Little Ola’s Biscuits at 14735 Bratton Lane in the former Garbo’s space in Wells Branch, as first reported by Eater Austin.
